Lenz Race Day
On the 16 July 2023 we headed off to the Lenz race day event which was held at Midvaal raceway in Gauteng . We started off with a crisp winters morning heading off from our head quarters in Kylami Johannesburg to Midvaal Raceway which is around 90km away
We took a few of our customers out to enjoy their cars at midvaal raceway . We had a great mix of cars which consisted of
BMW 340 X Drive
BMW M3 F80
BMW M3 G80
BMW M5 F90
The event was busy but I have to say the Lenz race event organisers planned the event very well and the day ran very smoothly. I believe they had about 160 entries and I have to applaud their planning skills as the event went of flawlessly
We set up our gazebos which was stacked with snacks and drinks for our crew . It was great having some social time with the guys , as you can expect almost every conversation was about cars ( I wouldn’t expect anything less from a bunch of petrol heads )
Our G80 M3 which is equipped with a JB4 unit and Strada exhaust was an impressive car on the day . This car is piloted by none other than Ricardo Sunnos . His aim ,on the day was to achieve a 10sec 1/4 mile pass . He managed to run a 10.8 in full street trim . Some of his highlights was this M3 taking out a Porsche Turbo S . These G80 M3s are super impressive and is definitely going to be a serious force to be reckoned with once we start to modify them
Next on list was none other than Shival Adojia in his 340 X drive BMW . This car is a full weight car with a big sound system in the boot . This car is really one of the most consistent cars at the track . He drives to the track , runs 10 second 1/4 mile passes and drives home with no fuss . The best part is he wakes up the next morning and drives to work in traffic with his car . A true street car piloted by a young gentleman of note
And then we have Mr Confidence himself , Tasheel . This car has minimal mods . If you know Tasheel you know he is no slouch behind the wheel . This car is always spinning somewhere or racing somebody on a daily basis . As you may know our company is big on reliability and having a fast car , and his car is a true testament of a car that’s driven hard on a daily basis and lasts the test of time . Tasheel is a heads up racer and he literally took every F80/ F82 M3 / M4 on the property and showed them who’s boss . Power to the NV Tuned M3 
Lastly we have our F90 M5 which only did one run . This car was just a rocket ship . He took on a A90 supra and it was game over as soon as he released that brake
All in all it was great day out at the track , we got to spend time with fellow petrol heads and we got to redline those beautiful sounding beasts . Oh and we taught some lessons while we were having some much needed social time . Well done Lenz race event organisers and we will definitely be there to support your next event
