Welcome to The Turbo Engineers’ TTE940 Stage 3 Turbocharger upgrade for the BMW S58 Motor.
To construct a pair of TTE940 turbos, TTE removed the original compressors and employ a far larger and more efficient billet wheel and mill the compressor cover to the optimum gap to match the new compressor profile. TTE also fitted TTE 9 blade Low-Mass turbines in the turbine housings for greater flow and lower exhaust gas temperatures at high boost and designed and fitted our upgrade bearing pack for durability. The Turbo Engineers also supply TTE upgrade turbo inlet intakes for no restrictions and ease of use. This combination gives the greatest power potential but also a fast boost response for the ultimate Plug & Play hybrid turbocharger upgrade. Race tested and approved.
Equilibrium
Precisely balancing the turbochargers is a key critical factor to becoming a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequently, great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving balance standards. Firstly, parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using a single parts machine, then components are assembled and the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on the application at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using an in-house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test result document.
