The factory M3/M4 intake, while functional, could use some improvement. If you consider yourself a BMW enthusiast – or a car enthusiast, for that matter – then you understand the innate importance of these two things: intake noise and carbon fiber. Turner’s S55 intake gives you both of those things, while maintaining a great fit and finish that integrates seamlessly with OEM inlet ducting and stock mounting locations. While engineering this intake, Turner meticulously collected data to ensure MAF scaling matched factory intake exactly in order to maintain correct AFRs. The 2×2 twill weave carbon fiber inlet tubes are available in either matte or carbon finish – if you’re looking for a more economical option, Turner also offers aluminum inlet pipes for a lower cost. Using the carbon fiber intake lids does reduce intake temperatures compared to running the open filter setup.
