Introducing the NV Performance BMW M3 Competition xDrive

With the automotive world talking about the incredible capabilities of BMW’s S58 engine, we knew it was time for NV Performance to begin developing this exciting platform.

Having already achieved record-setting results with our B58- and S55-powered vehicles on South Africa’s Dragy leaderboards, taking on the S58 platform was the natural next step in our performance journey.

Developed and Tested In-House

At NV Performance, we believe that every package should be properly developed and tested before it is offered to our clients.

Having our own development vehicles allows us to test different combinations of hardware, software and supporting modifications under real-world conditions. We can carefully evaluate performance, reliability and drivability before releasing a package to the public.

This approach gives our team the opportunity to learn every platform in detail, refine each component and ensure that our clients receive a thoroughly tested performance solution.

Why We Chose the M3 Competition xDrive

For our S58 development programme, we selected the BMW G80 M3 Competition xDrive.

Combining BMW’s powerful twin-turbocharged S58 engine with the traction of the M xDrive system, the G80 provides an exceptional foundation for performance development.

From the moment we placed the order, the excitement began building. We were eagerly awaiting the call from our local BMW dealership—and it finally arrived.

Our new M3 had completed its journey, arrived in South Africa and was on its way to the dealership.

The Beginning of a New Chapter

Taking delivery of the G80 M3 Competition xDrive marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for NV Performance.

This vehicle would become the foundation of our S58 research and development programme, allowing us to explore the platform’s capabilities, test new performance combinations and begin developing a range of packages for our clients.

We had ambitious plans for the car from day one—and we could not wait to get started.
